I posted here a few days ago, asking about Masterpiece Tattoo in Salem NH. The few responses I got were overwhelmingly "meh", so I moved on and looked elsewhere.

I fetched up at Sanctuary Tattoo in Portland, Maine. (My sister lives up there, so I combined the visits.) Wilhelm Scherer did an amazing job rendering my late husband's art into a tattoo. I really only wanted a consult, but his recommendations for minor fixes to the design were so on point, I couldn't wait.

So I went ahead and did it, and it's gorgeous. (Excuse my chicken skin...) )

so i'm new in here

pain pain pain )

I have been googling the hell out of this and still haven't really come up with an answer.

My recently posted tattoo is in between my hip and my thigh, and when I lift my knees up or sit in a certain way, the skin definitely creases and wrinkles my poor tattoo. I'm a little worried that this is going to cause it to age very quickly.

Does anyone else have a tattoo in an area with lots of creasing? How is it holding up, and do you do anything special to slow down the damage from all of the movement?

I read in a couple articles that it is a bad idea to get a tattoo in this area - but then I wonder why my artist wouldn't have said anything.

Hey people :) I was wondering, if anyone here would be interested in helping me design my second tattoo?

I have two very plain symbols, but I need some baroque/rococo style filigree adornment to get a little more romantic feel to them. I really suck at doing anything like that on my own. The tattoo would be on the inner side of the elbow, so it wouldn't be big.

Thanks in advance!

Btw, here's my first one. It says Protège Moi; it's a beautiful song from the band Placebo.

I might add something to the sides later, it's kind of plain now..

Mike's Propeller Mike's Propeller
Mike got his propeller tattoo this weekend. He is going to add the date he got his pilot's license later. He had orginally told Jacob he wanted a propeller and then said with some little motion marks or something to make it look like it is moving. Jacob came up with what you see and mike loves it! I think it turned out great! Done by Jacob @ Elite Tattoo in Beaumont, Texas.

Well, I've been a long time lurker here, and it occurred to me that I really never posted shots of all my ink before, so since its long overdue, here's my ink!

Possibly NSFW for....skinny man-nipple? LOL )

Well that's my ink! Some of it may be subject to change, as I have new ideas to blend them into, but that's it! :)

hello everyone!
for my next tattoo i want the words "heroes get remembered, legends never die" to go diagonally across my back in two separate lines, but i can not for the life of me find pictures of that placement anywhere. i want the words to go across my entire back diagonally, which is going to take forever, but if anyone has any pictures of ANYTHING remotely close to this i would be really grateful, tia

That's how my artist describes my sleeve..lol. I just think it's fun cute goodness.
It's not even close to being done...still got lots of other stuff to add and background work to go. I'll take a better pic of my arm later but this is the most recent one I have and people were asking me about it so I thought I would post it.
The pic of the birds on my chest is an old pic but that chest tattoo was my first one ever.

This tattoo is 3 days old. I took this image with my camera phone - the orange spots are a little darker in real life. Those weird lines at the top are from my sweatpants waistband. I keep waiting for these orange blobs to go away - I thought maybe they were from blood mixing with surface ink. But it looks like that is actually the COLOR of the tattoo. Which is all wrong! I specifically said yellow. Yellow only. He asked me what I thought about a streak of orange in the tail and I said fine but in the tail only. Nothing about the body or the face. D: And the orange blobs match the color of the orange he said he was putting in the tail. WTF? I love the rest of the tattoo but I haaatteee the orange. It looks really weird around the beak area, too. I keep waiting for it to peel off and look better but it's just not happening. :( Anyone know what's going on?
I know it's in an "ugly" stage but I'm starting to get pretty pissed about the orange.

Hey guys.

I'll be in Dallas, TX this coming week, and I'm thinking about getting my next tattoo while I'm there.

Anyone have any experiences with any shops in Dallas, or around there? Any recommendations for good places?

Thanks!
=)

Hi, I'm new with a quick question.

Has anyone gotten a tattoo at Masterpiece Tattoo in Salem, NH? I'm thinking of going to Dan Carroll for this piece; his gallery is gorgeous, he has decades of experience, and if you look at the pics of the shop, there are a bunch of trophies that I don't think are for softball. ;-)

The image I want is that in my icon. A bigger version is available here. It's a memorial tat for my husband, who drew it shortly after we were married. I think he always meant to get it himself, but never got around to it. My plan is to get it on the outside of my right calf, 4-5" tall.

So... any love for Masterpiece in Salem NH? It's right up the street from my house, so it does have the advantage of being handy, but I'm not far from Boston, either.
